🎬 What is the Replay Cinema?

The Replay Cinema lets you watch replays of games that you or other players have played.

By default, all games are recorded and stored for 7 days. For players who have purchased a Replay Pass, replays are stored for 30 days. After a replay has expired, you can no longer view it.*

*We are increasing the storage duration to 30 days for players without a Replay Pass, and 180 days for players with the Replay Pass. At this time, different games may have different durations, and we are not guaranteeing the improved storage duration.

🎮 Which games are supported?

The Replay Cinema supports all game modes on The Hive, including custom server games, except for Just Build, which is not fully supported yet. Just Build replays can still be accessed by using a replay ID, but they may not always function correctly.

🎟️ How can I access the Replay Cinema?

To access the Replay Cinema, you will need to purchase a Replay Pass from the Hive Store, for 830 Minecoins. The Replay Pass gives you access to the Replay Cinema for 365 days.

Once you have a Replay Pass, you can access the Replay Cinema by typing /queue replay in chat or by interacting with the clapperboard in the hub.

Purchasing the Replay Pass will also give you access to the following exclusive cosmetics:

  • Replay Raccoon Costume
  • It's rewind time! (hub title)
  • Lights, Camera, ACTION! (hub title)
  • Action (avatar)

🎥 How can I view my replays?

In the Replay Cinema, you can view a list of all of the games that you have played, and a list of all of the games that you have won.

You can also view a game's replay by entering its unique replay ID. You can get a game's replay ID by typing /replay in chat, or, if the game has ended, you can type /recentreplays in chat, to get the replay IDs of your last 10 games.

You can also share a replay ID to allow other players to view it.

🍿 Why isn't the Hive Replay Cinema available for free?

Hosting and maintaining the Replay Cinema is very costly. Due to this, and the fact that the Replay Cinema is very much an ‘extra’, on top of all of our free content, we have decided to charge a small fee to access it.

We will of course continue to release completely free-to-play content!
