Hats and back blings are cosmetic accessories. They can be worn in hubs, game lobbies, and a number of games.
When you equip a hat or back bling, it will be added to the skin or costume that you are currently wearing.
Like costumes, hats can only be used on The Hive, and cannot be used on other servers or worlds.
๐งข How can I obtain a hat or back bling?
Hats and back blings can be purchased on The Hive Store, with Minecoins.
Special accessories may also be awarded for completing in-game events, or by leveling up in games.
You can view a list of all hats, and how they can be obtained, here, and back blings, here.
๐ฉ Where can I use them?
When you equip a hat or back bling, you will wear it in the hub, and in games, during the lobby phases (start and end of the game), and whilst you are spectating.
Accessories can also be worn in some games that do not utilize armor. For example, Murder Mystery.
You can equip an accessory from anywhere on The Hive be using /hat
or /backbling
.
๐ How does accessory rarity work?
Each hat and back bling has its own rarity. Some rarer accessories come with special features, such as animations, color variants, or state changes when you sneak.
Accessories can be one of the following rarity levels:
- Common
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Epic
- Legendary
๐ How do I gift an accessory?
To gift hats or back blings, you need Gift Tokens. The amount of tokens needed to purchase an accessory gift is determined by the accessory's rarity:
- Uncommon: 1 token
- Rare: 2 tokens
- Epic: 3 tokens
Gift Tokens are for sale in two quantities: a single token, or ten (10) tokens. The price of the 10-token bundle is equal to 8 individual tokens, making it the cheaper option per token.
In the gifting menu, you are shown which accessories you can afford to gift: if the token amount is displayed in green you have enough tokens, if it's red, you don't. You'll also receive an additional warning when choosing token-based gifts, to remind you that you are spending the given amount of tokens.
