Many factors can cause you to experience issues connecting to The Hive. Don't worry; we'll guide you through some steps that should help!

From our experience, the steps outlined below address the most common issues players encounter when connecting to our server.

  1. Resource and Texture Packs: Initially, please ensure any resource or texture packs are disabled. These packs can sometimes interfere with a stable connection to our server.
  2. Game Restart: Have you tried restarting your game a few times? Surprisingly, this simple action resolves a significant number of connection issues. We recommend restarting the game a couple of times to ensure everything gets refreshed.
  3. Check Your Internet: How’s your internet connection holding up? It needs to be stable for a smooth gaming experience. If in doubt, rebooting your internet router can sometimes make a big difference.
  4. Minecraft Account: Have you tried signing out of and back into your Minecraft/Microsoft/Nintendo account?
  5. Skin Selection: It might not seem immediately obvious, but the Minecraft skin you’re using could be causing your connection issues. Try using a different skin and see if that helps.
  6. Minecraft Version: Make sure you’re not running on a beta or outdated version of Minecraft. The Hive is compatible with the versions listed here (click me), and we unfortunately do not support beta versions as highlighted here (click me).
  7. Connecting to Other Servers: Are other featured servers working smoothly with your connection? If you’re having a rough time connecting to other servers as well, this could point towards a broader internet-related issue on your end.
  8. DNS Settings: If you have modified your device's DNS settings (to allow you to connect to non-featured servers), try resetting these changes.

If these steps don't work, please contact our support team so we can troubleshoot the issue further.

We ask that you provide us with the following information:

  • Device Information: Knowing which device you are using will help us identify any device-specific issues that might be at play.
  • Connection Type: Are you on a WiFi connection, or are you using mobile data? This detail is crucial for pinpointing any connection-related issues.
